Since our initial meeting in January 2023, Midwest Transatlantic Lines (MTA) has been strategically enhancing its operations to personalize each customer’s unique needs. They have expanded their operations by adding more warehouse space at their Berea headquarters and additional space in Strongsville. Through these thoughtful enhancements, MTA continues to grow, attract new clients, and add value to their services. These efforts position MTA to attract diverse clients and boost economic growth and supply chain efficiency in the region.

In collaboration with Cleveland State University’s logistics program, MTA is hiring students and graduates, helping to develop future logistics professionals. Keep up the great work, MTA!

Here is an interview with MTA Lines CEO, Tom Lazzaro.

A Legacy of Excellence: Remembering Richard Gareau

During our recent visit with MTA Lines, we learned of the passing of their founder, Richard Gareau. Richard retired in 2021 and left a legacy by converting the company to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making all employees owners. This unique structure ensures clients receive exceptional service from a dedicated team.

Throughout his tenure, Richard achieved numerous milestones, establishing MTA as a Licensed Customs Broker, U.S. Customs Bonded CFS, and more. His greatest achievement, however, is the team he built to carry on his legacy.
