Enerco Group Inc. (EGI) has been a beacon of innovation and comfort since Al Haire took the helm in 1984. What began as a $38 million company has now grown into a $300 million industry leader, all while staying true to its Cleveland roots.

Our recent visit with Pam West and Bridget Fulkerson in HR gave us a firsthand look at the vibrant culture that drives Enerco’s success. Their vision is as straightforward as it is ambitious—making the world a more comfortable place.

The story of Enerco actually begins back in 1872 with Van Dorn Ironworks. Fast forward to 1973, and Enerco was born, eventually launching game-changing products like the Mr. Heater brand in 1986, inspired by Cleveland icons like Mr. Coffee and Mr. Gasket. The launch of the first patented Buddy Heater in 2000 revolutionized the indoor/outdoor heating market, further cementing Enerco’s reputation for innovation.

With five facilities in Northeast Ohio, Enerco strikes the perfect balance between local manufacturing and a global outlook. Their 225-strong workforce thrives on a culture of internal promotion and professional development. Programs like the Manufacturing Works Apprenticeship and Ohio TechCred underscore Enerco’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering growth from within.

Enerco is currently seeking talented individuals to join their team. If you’re looking to be part of a company that values innovation and growth, check out their job openings:
